Camps

Camps are an exciting opportunity for children to explore the natural world.

During our camps, campers get outside to explore habitats, discover wildlife, connect with friends, and create new memories. Led by our team of educators, they learn about wildlife conservation and how to be an ally for wildlife while having tons of fun!

We offer Spring Camps and Summer Camps. For more information, availability, and to register, please go to: Zoo Camps

Summer camp

Join us at the Central Coast Zoo for Zoo Summer Camp! Campers will learn about the world’s wildlife diversity, conservation, and their own Central Coast Zoo through a series of hands-on activities, animal meet and greets, keeper chats, crafts, zoo tours, games, and more. Your family will have your very own zoo guide when your camper comes home with all kinds of fun and exciting information to share with you. Our goal is to guide new generations to find their passion for animals and spark their interest in being an active participant in conservation.

Pre-registration is required and can be completed online or in person at the Colony Park Community Center (5599 Traffic Way) during customer service hours, Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM.

For registration questions, please call (805) 470-3360.

For more information about the camps, please contact the Zoo Education Department at (805) 470-3172 or  zooeducation@atascadero.org.
